Portland Lawyer Christiane Williams

“I came to Terry Garmey & Associates because like me, they share a sense of compassion. I love talking to clients, meeting them, and knowing that I am helping them at some of the most difficult times of their lives.”

Christiane focuses her practice primarily on civil litigation, with emphasis on personal injury law, products liability and medical malpractice matters.  Prior to joining Terry Garmey & Associates, Christiane spent eight years in the Portland, Maine office of Smith, Elliott, Smith & Garmey, P.A.  She has significant experience assisting clients and their families who have been injured as a result of the negligence of others.

Born in Paris, France, Christiane grew up in New York.  After law school, she left the east coast for Alaska and focused her legal efforts on litigation related to the Exxon Valdez oil spill in the Anchorage office of a Washington, D.C.-based law firm.  After returning from Alaska, Christiane was an associate attorney with a large Philadelphia law firm specializing in environmental, toxic tort and insurance coverage litigation.

In her free time, Christiane is an active volunteer with the German Shorthair Pointer Rescue New England organization.  In addition, she enjoys spending time exploring the Maine outdoors with her dogs and her husband, Pieter.
