Mia Croney is a legal assistant with Garmey Law, and is training to become a paralegal. Prior to joining the firm in 2019, she graduated from the University of Maine at Orono. Mia is a dual citizen and still holds a Canadian passport and a love for her hometown, Tobique, New Brunswick, Canada.
Mia studied communications and media studies at the University of Maine, Orono. She never expected her degree would land her in the field of law, but she finds that her ability to communicate effectively, efficiently, and with compassion helps her every single day, whether she’s on the phone with an insurance company, comforting a client, or helping out a colleague. There are many places Mia could work, but she’s proud to work at Garmey Law. “Our office is often referred from several Maine law firms, which says a lot about who we are and our reputation,” she says.
In her free time you can find Mia exploring all of what Portland has to offer; lakes, museums, bookstores, movie theaters and it’s incredible food scene. When she’s not in the office, you’ll find Mia on the hunt for delicious discoveries. She’s the office expert in Portland’s burgeoning food truck scene.
